Abstract: Under 30% of India's healthcare infrastructure is available to rural residents, despite over 70% of the population living in these areas. Frontline health workers, such as Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA), often operate in villages with limited or no internet connectivity, making cloud-based health management solutions impractical. GramHealth Lite v2.0, an offline-first Progressive Web Application (PWA), manages patient registration, vital recording, AI-assisted prescription writing, medicine reminders, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) instructions directly in the browser, without API dependencies. The system introduces four major innovations: (1) an offline-first data architecture powered by IndexedDB for persistent, browser-native local storage that preserves records across page refreshes and browser restarts; (2) a custom Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine based on domain-specific regular expressions that converts free-text doctor notes into structured medicine records, reducing prescription writing time by 75%; (3) a smart medicine reminder system; and (4) role-based access control with secure pathways for ASHA Workers, Doctors, Patients, and Administrators. Quantitative evaluation demonstrates 33% improvement in patient registration speed, 25% improvement in vitals recording, and a 75% reduction in prescription-writing time compared with version 1.0. The AI prescription parser achieved 91% field-level accuracy on a domain-specific test set comprising 120 entries. GramHealth Lite v2.0 uniquely provides complete offline functionality, AI-assisted parsing, free browser notifications, and Text-to-Speech voice instructions at zero per-query cost.
